You cannot shake hand which has its fist clenched
We must go back very far in time to find the explanation of how we greet by shaking hands. At first, people shook hands to show they were not carrying weapons, concealing anything in their sleeve. This practice of greeting by shaking hands remained reserved for men. For it is they who make war especially. A clenched fist has a whole other symbolic. The body expressed oneself through its own language: we are uptight, we're anxious, we are anxious, we are aggressive, we are nervous, and we want to fight. They intended to fix forever the event memory, they also intended to bring to the surface of their consciousness the misdeeds and atrocities of the former regime, his crimes, his acts of torture and barbarity. They intend when shaking their fists express their refusal to communicate peacefully with their day's enemy, with the henchmen and agents of the old regime, with all men and women who have betrayed the people and their country, they refused to shake hands bloodstained, thieves hands and highwaymen, the guilty hands of the starvers of people. How and why someone come to despise each other, why blame him to the point of refusing to shake his hand, to the point of refusing to communicate with him, to the point of refusing to dialogue with him? We find the answer in this sentence of Martin Luther King Jr., champion of the black struggle for civil rights in an unjust America "True peace is not, he said, in the absence of tension but at the presence of justice." Martin Luther King Jr. just summarizes for us the situation. We did not win peace, inner peace, the peace of soul. Henry Louis Mencken said, "If you want peace, work for justice." Our quartet has not achieved peace because it has not worked for justice. Instead he worked that the people, held hostage, accepts even longer injustice. Citizens' lives, their liberty, their safety, their dignity, their well-being, served as an alibi. We have suffered an odious blackmail. The same blackmail exercised by Ben Ali to justify repression and dictatorship. The war in Algeria was instrumented as an alibi: the threat was thinly veiled, the threat was thinly implicit. Similarly, the war in Syria, Libya, Yemen are taken today as alibis. The threat is explicit. This is what we believe we can read between the lines of the statement of the jury of not-quite-wise Nobel Prize for Peace: the quartet would have saved the country a tragic fate similar to that experienced by Syria, Libya and Yemen. But there is peace and peace. The all peace are not good to take the all peace does not deserve to be rewarded. There is obviously the most prestigious peace, peace of the brave: A proposal or peace agreements with honorable conditions in consideration of the bravery of the belligerents. There is also white peace: A peace without winners or losers. The common point between these two forms of peace is that they combine with external peace and the inner peace of souls; they do justice to the belligerents. The souls have subsided; peace wins souls and being manifest outside. We always strive to work for peace between nations and within nations. Peace between human beings and beings. And never forget that the first peace to be acquired is that of the soul: the deep peace, said Christian Bernard. Peace in Tunisia that the Nobel wanted to recognize and reward is a winner's one. The old nomenclature, the oligarchy of the old regime were able to again regain power, which they have never lost, the quartet was their accomplice, naively or deliberately he played the game of mafia and criminals. He has done nothing for peace because they have not worked for justice. Peace reigns perhaps outside, but struggles, anger, hatred, persist within the souls. Many Tunisians cannot unfortunately unclench their fists ... even by awarding the Nobel Peace Prize. They have day and night, fists clenched, teeth clenched, clenched jaws, heavy heart. Unable to shake hands which have the fists clenched , which have clenched teeth, which have a tight hearts, those which souls are stressed, those hungry, those with desperate souls, unable to shake hands of a idle youth tempted by suicide and violence, not knowing peace, not living in peace. Nothing can bring you peace, said Emerson, if not the triumph of principles. The principles for which many Tunisians have sacrificed themselves, believed, have not triumphed in Tunisia. Sorry we cannot accept a prize for a peace that is not effective, that we do not live within our souls.
